One of the most challenging aspects of this genre of photography is composition selection. The environment is quite difficult to predict and one needs to prepare well with respect to tides, cloud cover, sunrise and so on. Turimetta Beach makes life a bit easier because it has loads of interesting rock formations and fewer humans. By using neutral density filters I can control water texture as well, simplifying an otherwise choppy foreground element, as I have done here.
