I had a couple of ideas in mind here. The first was anticipating a red sunrise, so this was bright and early. The second idea was introducing tension, in this case by capturing ferry light trails moving in opposite directions.There is also an element of self-portrait, as I sometimes shoot from the same boardwalk position.
